Ditto Beta! It’s finally here!
Yep, you may have noticed the odd change or two on Ditto… We’ve finally launched the Beta, though, officially, if you’re reading this before Monday(ish), we’re still working on it so you may notice a few rough edges (yes, even more than before…).
We’ll be sending an email out soon explaining the changes we’ve made and how they’ll affect our existing Alpha users - in short, everything you’ve done so far is still there, it just might not be in the same place anymore.
Anyway, feel free to have a play over the weekend, and let us know what you think!

Don’t particularly like the carousel, it’s slow and doesn’t really add anything. I was expecting it to be ajax, which wouldn’t be too bad.

Thanks, I think we’ll be working on a more functional view that can sit alongside the carousel.
I agree about ajax, we just ran out of time so didn’t get a chance to address for the initial release of the beta.
We’ll post against when the voting experience has been tarted up.

trying out the make your own list bit and when I’m offered stuff to agree or disagree with it’s not on the button (ie I want David Bowie albums but I’m getting a load of david bowie tribute albums).
When I click on any of them nowt happens (I actually do want to know more about some of em!)

Hi David…
When you’re searching for albums by David Bowie, have you got ‘artist’ selected in the drop down menu in front of the search (as opposed to titles)? This should get you the man’s albums rather a bunch of dodgy tributes. And clicking on the album title link underneath the thumbnail should take you to the product page.

Cheers Lee - I know what you mean, but hopefully, as more people add more lists, we’ll begin to cover more and more of the ‘long tail’ - for example, I notice people have already started lists about jazz, goth and hip hop albums. If there is other, more obscure music you’d like on the site, just add a list yourself…
